Phyllis Chen因故五月來台無法成行，期待2011再來，五月初於紐約有多場音樂會知名玩具鋼琴家Phyllis Chen原定五月來台行程，因美國當地經紀人敲定多場大型表演會，致Phyllis五室內設計月抽不出空檔來台演出，實在是台灣觀眾的一大損失，因為Phyllis 表演行程相當滿，所以可能要等到2011年才有機會安排來台事宜。為此，Phyllis 也表示對台灣樂迷相當抱歉及遺憾裝潢，但也承諾未來2011年她的表演計畫，會優先將台灣列入考慮行程。也期待台灣對於一些不同的藝術能多多介紹，例如國外經常有各種各樣的音樂節慶活動，希望台灣未來也能多一些表室內裝潢演平台。Fringe Concert — Phyllis Chen2010年5月3日Phyllis將在美國Gilmore International Keyboard Festival 表演ProgramStephen Montague Mirabella for solo toy 室內設計pianoAndrian Pertout Exposiciones for toy piano and CDJohn Cage Suite for Toy PianoJohn Cage Perilous Night for prepared 裝潢pianoKarlheinz Essl Sequitur for toy piano and electronicsJulia Wolfe East Broadway for toy piano and toy boom-boxLucier 室內裝潢 "Nothing is Real" (for piano, teapot and miniature sound system)About this EventSince discovering the toy piano, Ms. Chen has become a trailblazer, 設計裝潢performing original multi-media compositions using toy pianos, electronics and video and works by prominent 20th century composers such as John Cage and Julia 系統傢俱Wolfe. She will perform several of these works in this concert as well as Cage’s Perilous Night for prepared piano. Chen was the featured musician for the world 系統家具premiere and ensuing six-week run of Steven Merritt’s off-Broadway production, Coraline, which opened in May 2009. Ms. Chen is a winner of the distinguished “景觀設計Young Concert Artists” award.
